We believe that giving of oneself through volunteering in one’s neighbourhood is a powerful catalyst for building and maintaining strong ties between employees and the community. Working together for four common causes without distinctions, hierarchical or functional boundaries: seniors, youth, the environment and food security.
OPAL-DDD wants to encourage companies to offer volunteering within their organizations. The first company to be inspired by this initiative is OPAL-RT Technologies. Indeed, to demonstrate its commitment to the community, OPAL-RT is offering its employees one paid day a year to volunteer, in the hope of making them appreciate the benefits. This will help bring all generations together around common causes that are close to their hearts, and make a concrete difference.
